A month of African Sunsets

Africa is renowned for a great many things. The wildlife. Anthropological history. Its culture. Bono. And in every book written or movie made with this fascinating continent as a backdrop, African sunsets feature heavily and we saw 25 of them.

On each occasion depending on location, be it city, savannah or beach, between 5:30 and 6:30pm we were always found ready with the cameras to capture the days ending. Usually sunset shots are planned in advance with every detail taken into consideration. We didn’t have that luxury being mostly constrained by our camp or vehicle or boat we were on at the time with freedom of framing sort of limited because, you know, the lions.

But Africa, like it had the whole time we were there, never failed to deliver a picture perfect moment.
